Bio of Alex Rodriguez
Alex Rodriguez, Executive Director
Alex Rodriguez is president of DCG Public Affairs, a division of Diversity Consulting Group, LLC, and has counseled many of the nation’s top organizations, including adidas, the Imperial Irrigation District, Caltrans, Sears, DirecTV, Coca-Cola, the US Department of the Interior, Sprint PCS, and many others. His areas of expertise include Hispanic marketing, public relations and public affairs.
Alex served as Secretary of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce for four years and is past president of the Santa Barbara Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In 2012 Governor Jerry Brown reappointed Alex to his third term on the 19th District Agricultural Association, and was appointed by President Barack Obama to the Selective Service System’s Local Draft Board. Alex also serves as a board member of the Santa Barbara County Finance Corporation, and as a board member of Ventango.
Alex studied Films Studies at UC Santa Barbara and received a Bachelor of Arts from Antioch University in Business Management, and an Executive MBA Certificate from Dartmouth University’s Tuck School of Business in Minority Enterprise Development. A life-long martial artist, Alex is a native of Calexico, resides in Santa Barbara with his wife and son.
